Little Drummer Boy

Here is my take on the challenge for this week at Scrapping the Music. The song was Little Drummer Boy.

We got Rock Band for a joint Christmas present. When We play, I sing and my husband usually plays guitar/bass but sometimes for fun and he feels adventerous, he plays the drums.

Snow Day

We had a snow day yesterday, so Randy put up the tree and I decorated it. It is not the typical tree as I use purple and teal. I thought that I should wait to take a photo until the morning, but you can't really see how pretty it is all lit up during the day. The second is an ornament that I made. I make one every year. It has the year on it along with all the people living in our home.

In My Life

Here are pages one and two of a Scrapping the Music challenge. This weeks song was by the Beatles called In My Life. These photos were from our very first New Year's Eve celebration at our brand new house. In the pocket, there is hidden journaling.

Virtual Stamping Nights @ SCS

Here is what I have been doing last night and most of today at Splitcoast

There were 18 challenges in all. My hands didn't hurt until I had to do the Dalia Fold. At least I found a use for it in a card holder!

Here is my entire gallery with all of the descriptions there:My gallery

Because I am a Queen

This is half of my layout for a challenge at Scrapping the Music

It is the before photo that I sent in for a Monday Morning Makeover on Channel 11 in Green Bay. The second layout will have my after shot on it. The tabs on the right side, next to the business cards, say what each person did for me. The owner was there, the gal who actually cut my hair, dyed it and even gave me eye brows. The make up artist who did my make up.

Winter Wonderland

Here is a layout inspided by someone on SCS.

Still busy 7

We planned a Sister get-a-way weekend in Door County. We had a great time! We hope to do it again next year.

Still busy 6

This layout was of photos taken while we were at the Pampered Chef convention. Jenni and I were standing next to the Twixit Clip dress. Look very closely at the bottom of her flapper dress. The other photo was after the banquet, all of our team memebers. The bottom ones are of Jenni and when she walked across the stage after becoming a Director- way to go Jenni, you are truely a star!

Still busy 5

Here is my mother's day layout. Look at those shoes! My mother traded with a young man sitting at the table next to us. In the glass was peanut butter moose with some chocolate & peanut butter stick in it. It was so yummy! The last photo was of the family, minus my hubby who took the photo. Thanks honey

Still busy 4

Another layout-needs photos

Still Busy - again

Another layout - just add some photos!

Pi Kapp Sister Night

Here is another Sister Night out with the Pi Kapps. Sally was the planner. We went to OlivU to make some gooides and then to the Highland House for dinner.

Layout help needed

This layout needs TONS of help! These aren't even glued down yet. Nothing I do, seems to be anything that I like. What are your suggestions? It goes along with another layout with Bravo Burgandy.

Thanks for all of your help!

Still more!

Here is another layout that I saw on SCS. Don't know what I will use here yet.

Still busy- more

Another layout inspired by SCS.

Still busy

Here is a layout that I was inspired by on Splitcoast. I am not sure what I am going to use it for, that is why the title is incomplete.

Gone, but busy!

Here are some photos from last summers trip to the Pampered Chef conference. One night, we went to Navy Pier. We ate dinner at Bubba Gump's and then went shopping.

VC Rocks roomie gift

I have the most amazing roomie!!! Carol you really do rock!!! Even though she is off to the real convention, she made me this totally AWESOME gift box. She altered the metal box with ribbon, paper and chipboard. She also included a jar of candy. A make and take coaster project. A candle and some pretty postcards. Even some cute cards! Also an altered notebook and a 6x6 journal. I am shocked at my roomie's generous and thoughtful. I have never been so blessed. I have never had a better roomie than Carol. Thank you so much Carol! Carol have a great time at convention.

VC Rocks

This is part of the gift I made for my VC Rocks roomie. I have never been to the Stampin' Up! convention, so I don't really know what to make. We did have some guidelines, something handmade, a make and take, and something tasty. Anyways, I made my roomie an altered small accordian folder. I stamped the front and attached the paper to the folder. Inside each pocket, I put different items. One was a couple of large paper clips and buttons for my roomie's make and take. I added some hand made cards. I also threw in some crystal light drink sticks. I know that my roomie likes chocolate, but after having grown up on the East Coast, which is where my roomie lives now, I know that all chocolate melts!!! Perhaps I can send her some chocolate during the winter!

Fourth of July 2008

I took photos and video of this years fireworks. I love the 4th of July. It is almost my favorite holiday. I love Christmas because of all of the music and songs.

I tried to upload the video of the finale, but it didn't work :(

VC Rocks RAK

I got these great RAK from 4 different people from my VC Rocks group. Thank you to Sue M, Lori M, Jamie P. and someone who didn't sign their name?!?!?!!?!?

Thanks so much for being so thoughtful. I will be sending out 4 RAK soon!! (I have to find my one cent stamps first!)

Dog Food

Randy and I never went to get some dog food over the weekend. Randy swung by a pet store on the way home. He came home with this bag for our two large dogs... This bag is a mere 6 pounds. We usually get a 40 pound bag!!

Jenni's Shower

Here is the baby paint can I made for my friend Jenni. I totally forgot to include a notepad and pen... good thing I see her often, I will just make them and give them to her. Here is a close up of the shoes. Included in the can: blanket, shoes, wash cloths, spoons, toothbrush, grooming set(clippers, scissors, and file) sippy cups which I stamped with Stazon. I used Cuddles 'n' Tickles. I know this set is retired, but it just works so well with baby gifts. I put the Paint Can memory poem on the lid. I used Temp. Turquoise for the ink.

Here are Jessica, Jenni and I. Jessica and I held the shower for Jenni.

Mother's Day

For Mother's day the family went to the Sea Bird at Blue Harbor for their Mother's Day buffet. They had a chocolate fountain! Let's see if I can recall what there was to eat. Cheese and crackers and bread. Salads, fresh cooked shrimp, and oysters on the half shell.

Made to order crepes. Hot foods: potatoes, french toast, sausage, prime rib, lamb, ravioli, and Belgium waffle. (Okay, so I forgot to write the menu down and now I can't recall everything!)

Desserts: too many to list. The photo below is what my uncle, grandmother, and I all had. It was peanut butter moose. My other uncle ate some banana dessert. I also had a decadent chocolate three layer cake.
My aunt thinks that we ate at least one of everything but the lamb!

March happenings

Our March started with a bang-- my truck got a flat tire. Well duh neither Randy or I know how to change a tire, so we call Jerome. Then we call Jenni who sends Morgan over! Thanks guys!

March ended with Easter. My mother was sick from school and never made it over for Easter. Here is my family.

Sweetheart

Here is a page that I did for my husband for Valentine's Day. I used Barely Banana, Rose and Regal Red, and Certainly Celery. I watercolored the hearts on the Barely Banana paper. The journaling is different words for loved ones. I used the thesaurus to look up the different words. I used the set Sweet Shapes.

Jennifer's Birthday

Here is a layout that I did from my last birthday. I had to get some frogs on there as I love frogs and purple. The dogs in one of the photos is mine, Molly. The other one is Madison. My mother and I share the dogs, they are sisters. My grandmother is holding onto Madison, my mother's dog. I hope that some day my grandmother will smile more!!!
