April in Review

Peyton is soooo very close to speaking.  His mouth gets all puckered up and kind of spits.

His new thing is to turn his head side to side very quickly as to say no, but when he stops, he just smiles. :}

Peyton is getting better at rolling over.  He used to just let his head roll him over, now he moves his legs up and then rolls.  He only rolls over from his tummy.

He is learning to rotate in his jumper-roo.

We have only been on one stroller ride as it is still cold here and we have gotten snow after our first ride.

Why yes, I am talking to the heater lol

Daddy asked for an easy outfit-
a shirt and pants with feet!

First try of prunes---

anticlimactic  lol

But with a little help from a friend

Thanks CJ!

My mom bought him this car-
we told him it wasn't a Buick lol

He really does love it lol

He's really lovin' this thing!!!

Randy and I take turns with swimming lessons.

Peyton chills in his boppy for at least 10 minutes!!

Mr serious!!

Just a few toys! Yes these are different than the toys
 in the living room where his boppy is!

Same outfit but different children, of course.
Why I love my friends!!

NorthWood Candle Company

I was given the opportunity to sample some candles, I couldn't pass that up!  I have never heard of the NorthWood Candle Company before, so I did some investigating.

(Apparently, someone else thought they smelled good too!
You can see CJ's nose off to the left.)

When I got the box, I glanced at the return address and low and behold it came from Eden Prairie Minnesota.  Someone in my house will be very happy with that!

I made contact with the NorthWood Candle Company and was informed that I could pick a few scents out that I might want to try, although they couldn't guarantee that I would get them all. So I found their fragrance descriptions page.  I absolutely love their descriptions!!

When I opened the box, it smelled awesome!  Sometimes, you go into candle stores and it smells weird with all of them blending together, but not these. I got... wait for it....  NINE different tea lights, one large candle, and a room spray.  Wait, I didn't know they had room sprays!

Tea lights I received:

Butterfly Hugs- a very delicate smell- fills my living room very nicely.  This would be a good scent for the baby's room.  :} This scent lasted for two days. I loved the scent so much, I didn't want to burn another candle yet lol
Teakwood & Cardamom- this would be so good in a woodsy home
Fresh Cut Grass- smells exactly what freshly cut grass smells like!
Coco Mango- smelled good while burning- a very light smell
Monkey Farts- (yeah I can't make up names like that!) a close second
Both Frosted Pinecones and Cracklin' Birch would be perfect for the winter months.
Cotton Candy- smelled good without the calories!
Cracklin' Birch- another great one for the log cabin :}
Hot Baked Apple Pie-  no calories here either!

The large candle was Icicles and the room spray was Aloe and White Lilac.  The large candle smelled even when not lit.  It covered several rooms when lit and also when it wasn't!!

I used the room spray for the baby's room.  It lasted a very long time and isn't overpowering.

Check out these pages:

I would also like to try the Tranquility scent.  I soon realized that I couldn't just leave the tea light on the table, so I went in search of a tea light holder and the two I grabbed were a little to small lol I did find one that fit though- it was a frog. Another thing that I realized is that my large candle still smells even when not lit!

Although, I was given these samples, all the opinions are mine!

March in Review

We began March by celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday.
The bedding is Dr. Seuss. I brought down a Grinch stuffed toy.

 umm.... good thing we had a back-up clothing for this day lol

Peyton is all cuddled up in his boppy- with a little extra warmth from CJ's ear lol

 He's my super hero!

Here's my Gamma and her great-grandson.

My little man.

So here is the story behind this shirt- this is the shirt that I gave Randy
to tell him we were having a baby last March.

CJ and Peyton time.
They are really becoming best buds.

Here is the evolution of the diapers!
Newborn, one's, and now two's!

Very Hungry Caterpillar Day outfit.

We ended VHC day with reading 3 Carle books.

Easter Shoot

Seriously, why is he looking over there?  I wasn't even standing there!  lol

Our 5th Month

My Very Hungry Peyton!

We began our 5th month on the 22nd.

With much hesitation I began food with Peyton.

The main idea behind our decision to begin food was that some days it's a long time between when I feed him and I get home from work. I feed him around 1 o'clock so we get to the sitter by 2 o'clock and I don't get home until after 5. That's a long time to go without food.
This way, Randy can feed Peyton if he gets hungry before I get home.

He loves cereal.  So far we have tried peaches, apples, and bananas.

We didn't do so well with apples. :(
Mom's make everything better and this was no exception.

The next photo was him crying.  :( He pushed up on the edge of the
laundry basket and hit his head.
Not a happy camper!
So he is about the length of the laundry basket. :}

Stay tuned for our month in review at the end of the month.  Exciting photos from the Very Hungry Caterpillar day (first day of Spring.) Our Easter photo shoot.

Beginning our 4th month

Last week not only did you giggle more frequently, rather just once in a while.  The only time you would giggle would be when I got you up in the morning. Now with a little tickling, I can get a little giggle or two :}  Still rather random.

Another thing that you have just learned is to shriek.  Thank goodness, it is only for a second or two, but caught me by surprise!

Lately, you get very loud when you are getting tired.  You talk a little louder, a little louder, and a little louder until you fall asleep.  :}

This was at night after our play date:}

 Are you seeing a frog theme?
 Dinner at my Gamma's
 Oh look, another frog lol
 CJ is kind of warming up to Peyton...
 Not only a frog toy, but frog jammies too!
 Peyton has really been wanting to sit up more, I don't like it one little bit!
So on his 4 month birthday, I let him sit in his Bumbo chair.
 Looking very grown up in his chair.
 Too cute- with ducks on his socks too!
We had a short week this week.  However, we had lots of plans!  No school on Monday, so we had a play date with three of my sorority sisters and their children.  We went to the children's museum for the older children and then to McDonald's.

Wednesday is the third Wednesday, so I don't have to go to work.  :} Friday will be when you turn 4 months old.  I often marvel at your existence. I am truly amazed at what a miracle you are.

Something else that I realized, people often write what their child's favorites are... well for now you get what I give you lol so of course, you love your frogs lol

Stats

Length: 24 inches
Weight: 12 1/2 pounds
